So I’m back at DIA again, this place is beginning to feel more and more like home. I’m on my way to New York City to celebrate the Chinese New Year in style.
Right now I’m sitting in the new 5280 Lounge that recently opened on the upper level of the B Concourse. You see it as soon as you emerge from the train.
This place is a must if you have some time to kill before your flight. It’s name precedes itself, it definitely lends the lounge atmosphere and you’ll seem to forget you’re in an airport at all.
They have an extensive wine list by the glass and the bottle (if you have lots of time to kill). Their beers are all from local Colorado breweries and they offer “Colorado Inspired Cocktails” such as The Mile High Manhattan, The Colorado Corpse Reviver, and Bright and Sunny in Colorado. Many are made with Leopold’s American Small Batch Gin, which is a local distillery.
I’m just finishing my New Belgium Fat Tire Amber Ale and one of their delicious small plate options. My waitress was beyond pleasant!
Gotta catch my flight! I’ll see you in NYC!!
